John N. Campbell is editor and producer on documentary about thousand-year-old Icelandic tradition.
John N. Campbell has collaborated with National Geographic photographer, Bob Krist to produce a documentary about the Icelandic tradition of Rettir, the annual round-up of sheep that occurs every autumn.  "A Thousand Autumns" follows the story of one of Iceland's groups of sheep herders who round-up their herds of sheep on horseback from their summer grazing grounds in the Icelandic highlands to their winter pastures near the coasts.  This tradition has been occuring every autumn for hundreds of years and is an integral part of Icelandic culture.
Rettir is considered to be "more important than Christmas" in Iceland!
